Azlan Europe announced a new product for van drivers. It is designed to help save fuel for fleet management companies. In fact their slogan has mentioned the product is for “lead-footed” drivers. Most fleet companies spend quite a bit on fuel, not only due to increases on pump price but also because of the driver behaviours a company has to deal with. Azlan Europe is a London based company offering telematics.

They announced a new GPS vehicle tracking device is available for monitoring and reporting. With these tools it is possible to monitor drivers to find out which drivers may be less diligent in their behaviours than others. A business could save upwards of 20,000 pounds with a 20 vehicle fleet.

The technology is offered online to show any inappropriate speeding, acceleration, or harsh braking. The idea is to help drivers understand what they are costing the company in order to persuade drivers to be more efficient both economically in their driving and with their behaviours.

The new service is part of Azlan’s SE Track product. It will bring real time tracking together with Google or Bing Maps. The fleet tracking system is only 9.99 pounds per vehicle per month for the first three months. It is then 15 pounds per month when one choose a 12 month rental option. There is no termination charge; there is also free installation, with unlimited usage of all the features.

Ricky Fowler of Azlan Europe stated that six months ago they decided to provide the new product, and since then they have seen it rise in popularity because people were requesting a way to lower their fuel costs.
